About Juthoor Early Education Center

Juthoor Early Education Center serves children from 6 months to 3 years old, providing a high-quality program of care and education. Learning is hands-on, engaging, and fun.

Our qualified team implements the Creative Curriculum (developed and published by Teaching Strategies, Washington, USA) to deliver engaging, individualized, and developmentally appropriate programs for all children across Juthoor Early Education Centers. Our approach is also inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, encouraging exploration, creativity, and child-centered learning. In addition, our Dual-Language program emphasizes both Arabic and English while fostering and embedding core Islamic values.

The Early Education Centre is accredited by the International Council of Schools (ICS) and New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) to create, promote, and sustain programs that advance and ensure quality early childhood education in Qatar.

Teaching and Learning

Juthoor Early Education Center provides every child aged 6 months to 3 years with opportunities to learn in safe, nurturing environments through a play-based curriculum. We believe that research-based practices support the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of young learners.

Teaching and learning in our classrooms are guided by our Image of the Child, which aligns with the IB Learner Profile. We see children as unique, capable, curious, persistent, creative, social, sensory, explorers, communicators, researchers, and risk-takers.

We also recognize the importance of forming strong partnerships with families to foster home-school connections, always prioritizing the best interests of the child.

Statement of Belief for the EEC

We believe that a high-quality early years’ experience requires educators to be well-qualified and work collaboratively to create the best possible learning environment for the children in their care.

We value the importance of the Arabic language and Islamic values, while preserving Qatari identity, culture, and heritage.

We believe a quality program respects and celebrates each child’s language, culture, diversity, and unique gifts.

We recognize that children are naturally curious about their surroundings, and a strong program encourages and supports this exploration.

We believe children’s learning is enriched through developmentally appropriate, interactive, creative, and enjoyable experiences.

We believe children learn best in a nurturing environment that fosters independence, self-esteem, confidence, and a love of learning.

The Creative Curriculum

Juthoor Early Education Center follows the Creative Curriculum, a research-based program developed and published by Teaching Strategies. It is a balanced curriculum, designed to enable children to grow in physical, social-emotional, cognitive and language development. Birth to age three is the most important period of development and a period in which children are very vulnerable. Initially, they are totally dependent on adults to meet their every need. When care and experiences are nurturing and consistent, children flourish.

There are five central components that make up the framework from which teachers will be working:

  • Partnering with families
  • Knowledge of the development of infants, toddlers, and two- and three-year-old
  • Creating a responsive environment
  • Learning needs of children
  • Caring and teaching

These five central components include a range of routines and experiences that support children’s development. Routines help children build positive, trusting relationships and foster a sense of security. Daily moments such as arrivals and departures, diapering, toileting, feeding, dressing, and soothing to sleep all provide comfort and consistency. When children feel secure, they form strong attachments and begin to develop independence.

Routines also help children make sense of their world, develop language, and nurture curiosity. At the Early Education Center, we provide the right level of support as children grow their skills. As their confidence increases, support is gradually reduced, allowing them to achieve tasks independently.

Accreditation

Juthoor Early Education Center is accredited by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, State of Qatar.

The Center is also accredited by the International Council of Schools (ICS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). It continues to follow recognized international standards and best practices to design, promote, and sustain programs that advance and guarantee excellence in early childhood education across Qatar.

Our Program

At Juthoor Early Education Center, an environment is created where each child’s language, culture and diversity are deeply respected and celebrated. Our staff is inspired by each child’s passion, their natural curiosity to make sense of the world around them. We respect and acknowledge each child as an individual learner and value their uniqueness.

Our centers create opportunities for parents and children to come together in events that combine learning and fun, such as the Teddy Bear Picnic, Sports Day, Story Book Character Day, National Day, International Day, Little Chef Day, and Bee Day. Each year, Juthoor Early Education Center also celebrates children’s learning journeys and creativity through our Gallery Walk.

The special Thursdays are a fun way of promoting learning concepts such as colors, science, math, and nature. It is a wonderful opportunity for parents to engage with their children and promote language and learning around a particular concept.

We see parents as partners in their child’s learning journey. Together, we set learning goals and share progress through reports and portfolios that show how each child is growing and developing.

Communications

Teachers communicate with parents on a regular basis, verbally, through Daily Connect, or in writing, sharing information about children’s daily reports, progress, and learning.

To foster our partnership with parents and the center, we invite parents to meet with their child’s teacher regularly to discuss their experiences and development. Consistent communication and collaboration between home and the center help provide a more comfortable experience for your child.

Changes at home, such as a parent traveling, illness in the family, moving house, weaning, or changes in a parent’s job, can often lead to changes in behavior. We can care for and work more effectively with your child when we are aware of these changes. The more familiar we are with your family, the more understanding, supportive, and helpful we can be.
