Students
Over 1,883 students representing different nationalities experience an extensive academic and co-curricular program grounded in traditional values and steeped in the best practices in education. Inquiry-based learning starts at the Primary School. Students, parents and faculty are encouraged to challenge themselves and their thinking through the framework of the PYP, and Units of Inquiry based on the IB transdisciplinary themes provide students with structure and direction in their learning. This learning environment extends beyond the classroom to involve the wider community, supporting real world connections. The MYP and DP are offered in the Senior School, with the Middle School serving to address the specific needs of the pre-adolescent age group from Grades 6-8. QAD’s strength lies in its comprehensive DP curriculum, and its rigorous and effective university preparation program. QAD’s strength lies in its Open Campus configuration that allows students to access a personalized learning pathway in addition to a rigorous IB education with opportunities to engage in internships and co-curricular programs from university campuses, research labs and entrepreneurship incubators across Education City. Access to many community and service, athletic and academic after-school activities challenge students beyond the curriculum, and student e-portfolios and student-led conference structure ensure that focus is consistently on learning and growing, while acquiring the grades, necessary for success in the DP and beyond.

QAD teachers are recruited from a variety of academic and cultural settings. Through encouragement and a caring, innovative and creative approach to instruction, our faculty ensure that our students achieve their fullest potential in a learning environment designed to promote cultural understanding and respect.
