Welcome to Qatar Academy Doha,

There are moments in the life of a school when it is important to look back and reflect before looking forward. For Qatar Academy Doha, 2026 is one of those moments.

This year marks our 30th anniversary, three decades since QAD first opened its doors as part of the pioneering educational vision of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, placing education and human development at the heart of Qatar’s future. What began here has since grown into the wider family of Qatar Foundation schools within Pre-University Education.

Being the first Qatar Academy is a source of immense pride, but it also carries a particular responsibility. QAD was established to challenge convention, raise expectations, and contribute to Qatar’s development through education. Thirty years on, our responsibility is not simply to celebrate that legacy, but to continue advancing it.

For us, being a flagship school means being prepared to lead. It means remaining forward-looking, improving what we do and ensuring that innovation serves one clear purpose: helping young people fulfil their potential and contribute meaningfully to their country and the wider world.

At the heart of Education City, our students benefit from an exceptional educational ecosystem of universities, research institutions, cultural organisations, industry partners, and the wider Qatar Foundation community. We seek to use these opportunities purposefully, extending learning beyond the classroom.

Our IB programmes provide a rigorous framework for teaching and learning, but our aspirations extend beyond academic achievement. We want our students to become thoughtful, capable, and principled young people who understand who they are, value where they come from, and recognise their responsibility to contribute and lead.

Three core values anchor that ambition.

Integrity asks us to act with honesty, purpose, and a commitment to doing what is right.

Ihsan calls us to pursue excellence with humility, compassion, and care for others.

Innovation requires us to remain open to new ideas and continually seek better ways to learn, teach, and serve our community.

Our five strategic priorities translate these values into action: strengthening effective learning environments while investing in the continued development and expertise of our educators; integrating learning and behavioural support; identifying and developing the diverse talents of our students; using AI and digital technologies intelligently and responsibly; and deepening partnership between students, families, educators, and the wider community.

The strength of QAD lies ultimately in its people: educators committed to their profession, students encouraged to discover their potential, families who trust and engage with the school, and a community in which everyone understands that they have an important part to play.

As we enter QAD’s fourth decade, we inherit something significant, built over thirty years by generations of students, families, educators, and leaders. Our responsibility is to honour that history while continuing to strengthen and advance the school entrusted to us.

Whether you are a student, parent, or educator, Qatar Academy – Doha welcomes you. We invite you to visit our campus and become part of the next chapter of QAD’s story.
